HIGH-VOLUME NANOIMPRINT LITHOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT

HoloPrint 5000

An industrial nanoimprint lithography platform built on a proven core nanoimprint architecture and configured to meet individual customer applications. Designed for large-area, high-throughput nanostructure replication, the platform supports Roll-to-Roll (R2R) or Roll-to-Plate (R2P) nanoimprint lithography production, providing maximum economic return for industrial manufacturing.

HOLOPRINT 5000

A High-Capacity Rolling Nanoimprinting Platform for Industrial Cost-Efficient Manufacturing

Powered by Stensborg’s patented UV-curing Optical Engine (Holoprint℗ Process), the Holoprint 5000 enables continuous roll-based nanoimprinting with exceptional pattern fidelity, long template lifetimes, and significantly reduced energy and material consumption compared to batch-based or plate-to-plate methods. Built on over 25 years of rolling nanoimprint engineering expertise, the Holoprint 5000 addresses the growing demand for high-volume, cost-competitive nanostructure manufacturing.

Who is the HoloPrint 5000 designed for?
Nano-feature manufacturers, photonic-integrated-circuits (PIC) companies, optical components developers, flexible electronics producers, and industrial nano-microstructured surfaces engineers who require scalable nanoimprint lithography.

HOLOPRINT™ NANOIMPRINT TECHNOLOGY

How Does Stensborg’s Rolling NIL Process Work?

At the heart of Holoprint 5000 is Stensborg’s IP-backed Optical Engine, a patented UV-curing system integrated directly inside the imprint roller. It enables continuous replication of nanoscale features down to 20 nm across transparent and opaque substrates, supporting production volumes from pilot-scale manufacturing to over 4 million m² per year.

Unlike traditional nanoimprint lithography, injection moulding, or photolithography, the Holoprint 5000 leverages Rolling Nanoimprint Lithography (RNIL), enabling high-precision UV curing for faster, more uniform volume production.

100× faster production speeds than batch-based methods

Long template lifetimes of 10,000–70,000 cycles

Scalable throughput at €50–€50,000 / m²

10% energy savings compared to Plate-to-Plate or Thermal NIL

Contact, Cure, Release

During operation, the nanoimprint lithography (NIL) template mounted on the transparent imprint cylinder makes controlled, uniform contact with a thin layer of UV-curable resin applied to the substrate. As the materials pass through the nip, focused UV light emitted from Stensborg’s integrated Optical Engine is delivered precisely at the contact line, initiating instantaneous in-line curing of the resin. Once polymerisation is complete, the cured nanostructure is cleanly released from the template, ensuring high-fidelity replication of micro- and nanoscale features while minimising demoulding forces, air entrapment, and defect formation.
