Bringing Desktop Innovation to University Doorsteps Worldwide
It has been our goal to nurture the future of NIL industry trends by equipping university labs worldwide with our technology. Turning that goal into reality, our desktop units have found new homes in prominent university labs from the US to the UK. This year marked a remarkable expansion in our mission to empower the upcoming generation of scientists and engineers. The intuitive design of our desktop tools facilitates hands-on learning experiences and spearheads innovative NIL experiments.

“We ordered the Desktop R2P NanoImprinter last year and were very pleased – its operation is really simple, and it took us no time to start making patterns on several substrates. We are impressed with the tool’s flexibility and the range of substrates we can work with. As a multi-user facility, we have great plans for the nanoimprinter from creating specialist topographies for cell growth to prototyping designs for solar sails for satellites.”

By joining forces, we aim to empower technical universities, research centers, and industrial professionals across Japan and beyond.
Growing Our Team and Knowledge
The beginning of 2024 marked an exciting expansion of our team with the warmest welcome to Dimitrios and Despoina, both students from DTU, who joined us in the quest to push the boundaries of NIL technology. Their contributions have already been pivotal in our ongoing chemistry and material development, and in the advancement of our client’s custom nanoimprinting projects.

Epic Annual Meeting 2024 – Illuminating A Photonics Audience
In April, our CEO Jan had the honour of participating in the EPIC Annual Meeting in Nice, Paris. The event, which gathered 85% of attendees who were CEOs from over 30 countries, delved into strategic themes, including technology showcase innovation, entrepreneurship, and market development in photonics.
At the conference, we had the opportunity to meet once again our partners at SPIO and PROFACTOR and enjoy some thrilling discussions over the latest trends and advancements in their Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) projects.
NNT + NIL Industrial Day – Joining the Global Nanoimprint Lithography Community
June saw our engineers and NIL enthusiasts converge at NNT and NIL Industrial Day in Lund, Sweden. This event spotlighted industrial applications of NIL, featuring speakers from diverse industry sectors across the world.

We are forging new pathways in our NIL Labs, focusing on overcoming challenges related to mass production (R2R or R2P) making Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) more acessible to new researchers and applications. Our breakthrough innovations detail how UV-NIL can revolutionise specific intermediate steps in surface property enhancing applications leading to higher throughput processes and economies of scale.
Imagine mass-producing intermediate NIL templates, not just the functional devices. What if you could streamline your RNIL production, utilising it to develop intermediate steps in your manufacturing process rather than the end product? That’s the revolution we’re propelling forward.
With our advanced RNIL process, we can assist in mass-producing hard-to-cure materials, and become more efficient in your development.
Tackling Client’s Challenges with Custom Solutions
Earlier this year, we celebrated the successful implementation of our Roll-to-Roll machine at Heliac’s headquarters. Coming to us with a unique problem that required a custom solution, our team worked hand-in-hand with Heliac’s innovators, contributing to what might be a leap forward in the solar energy sector. This included the exchange of expertise, comprehensive training sessions at our facilities, and subsequent follow-up visits.
Today, this solar energy pioneer is now creating solar concentrator devices that aim to revolutionise the solar market, with our technology playing a pivotal role in their innovation process.
