Celebrating 25 Years of Stensborg
Twenty-five years ago, Stensborg began as a small startup with a big vision: to revolutionise the world of nanoimprint lithography and empower researchers and manufacturers worldwide. Today, we recently celebrated our silver anniversary on June 19th as NIL innovators. From the invention of our patented HoloPrint process to the launch of an advanced version of the Desktop R2P Nanoimprinter and more, we have come a long way in making nanostructure manufacturing more accessible and more cost-effective at every level. As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we thank everyone who has been a core part of our growth and our story to date, and we’re looking forward to the next 25 years!
Welcoming New Team Members
We are proud of the technical expertise of our team and are delighted to welcome two new members: one with a technical background and a Ph.D. in Optics and the other with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. We are excited to have such a talented, dedicated (and growing) team, who are all the backbone of Stensborg’s mission to build the best nanoimprint lithography equipment and nanostructure components for our clients across the globe.
Newly Appointed CEO
In 2023, Jan Stensborg was appointed as the CEO of Stensborg A/S, taking over daily business management. With Jan at the helm, we are confident that he will continue to steer us towards new and innovative NIL projects that will benefit our customers and the industry.
Did You Catch Us At One Of The 2023 Events?
Stensborg attended four significant events throughout the year, starting with the NIL Industrial Day in April, where we discussed the benefits of rolling nanoimprint lithography and its patented technology, the Desktop R2P Nanoimprinter. We also presented an exciting partnership and collaboration that our team is involved with, working on achieving energy-efficient colouration of solar panels.
In July, Jan Stensborg attended the NIBS conference, where he discussed Stensborg’s innovative work in nanoimprinting lithography advancements. Our innovators were also fresh faces at the Laser World of Photonics congress, where we spoke to attendees about the benefits of our smart Roll-to-Plate unit and the power of the Desktop R2P NanoImprinter. At the year’s close, Jan Stensborg and some of our nanoimprint lithography experts attended the international Micro and Nano Engineering conference (MNE) in Berlin, discussing the benefits of roller-based imprinting methods and showcasing our unique optical engine.
Launched A New Website
We launched a new website this year! Our new site was designed to provide our customers with a better online experience when browsing our available products and services in rolling nanoimprint lithography technology. Our new site is sleek, modern, and user-friendly, making it easier for our customers to find what they are looking for. See for yourself here.
Research Paper Publication MDPI
We’re thrilled to have our input in a pioneering project featured in the latest MDPI Nanomanufacturing Journal. Our in-house experts (in collaboration with Profactor, Technische Universität Wiena, and ChanPharm Gmbh) have introduced Roll-to-Plate nanoimprinting fabrication methods that stimulate cardiomyocyte fibres in a faster, more precise, and cost-efficient manner. Even more, doing so while using our signature device, the Desktop R2P NanoImprinter. By enabling replication in vivo conditions, the research conducted at Stensborg has fundamentally opened new possibilities, especially regarding drug development and the evolution of other life science applications.
We’re proud to contribute our NIL expertise and resources to help advance the field and support fellow innovators in their endeavours. This is why, in 2023, we provided training support to DECPT and Heliac in August. More notably, we took it the extra mile by moving our big R2R machine to support project testing. Why? Because here at Stensborg, we believe in investing in the next generation of engineers, and in partnership and collaboration for innovation, and we sincerely look forward to doing more of this in the years to come.
